Léa Pautet

I am a French citizen. I came to Belgium in 2023, after completing a Master’s degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology at Sorbonne University (Paris, France) to start a PhD in the MAGE lab at the GIGA Research Institute.

My PhD research project focuses on understanding impact of alternative splicing on mechanisms of Multiple Myeloma resistance to anticancer drugs.

As a PhD student in molecular biology, I enjoy conducting wet lab experiments, which allow me to explore the intricate world of molecular biology. I am also very interested in bio-informatic analysis. I find joy in deciphering complex data sets and extracting meaningful insights from the vast Omics landscapes.

Outside the lab, I spend quality time practicing Yoga as a source of mental clarity and physical well-being. I also enjoy cooking, which is quite like doing experiments with flavors and textures, and sharing moments with my friends and family.
