Maxime Uriarte

I am a French scientist who has lived primarily in Germany. I completed my academic training in France, obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Natural and Life Sciences from the University of Lorraine, followed by a Master’s degree in Cancer Biology at Université Claude Bernard Lyon. I then earned my PhD in Biochemistry at the Université de Montréal, Canada.

I am currently a FNRS postdoctoral research fellow in the MAGE Lab at the GIGA Research Institute. My research project focuses on understanding the role of the RNA-binding protein TFIP11 during mitosis. I am driven by the desire to discover new biological concepts, explore unknown territories of the cell, and teach the beauty and complexity of biology.

Outside the lab, I enjoy cinema, film, music, video games, and exploring nature.
